Window Snap

Grab the title bar and drag — a mini-monitor preview with your layout zones appears. Hover a cell, the ghost outline shows the result. Release — done.

Menu bar

From the menu bar icon you see all connected monitors with resolution, optionally open windows including position, and toggle learning, auto-restore, snap via shortcut, and snap via drag independently. Settings and Quit sit below.

Login & Updates

General

In the first settings tab you optionally launch Gridist at login and control updates: check automatically, install without asking, or check manually. The current version is shown right below.

Window Snap

Shortcuts

Basic and custom shortcuts in a two-column grid: click a field, press the full combination (any modifiers + key). Mini preview shows the zone, × disables it. Defaults match Rectangle — including quarters.

Your zones, your sets

Layout Sets

Snap templates including full screen, halves, quarters, thirds, and two-thirds — plus custom sets. Each row shows a mini preview, zone names, and whether it's default, modified, or custom. Create with +, double-click to edit, drag to reorder.

In the sheet you draw zones on the 24×24 grid (16:9 display). Modes: New zone or adjust region. Each zone has a name, cell size in percent, and optionally its own shortcut. Built-ins can be reset to defaults.

Screen position

Positioning

Controls the mini-monitor preview during drag snap: icons horizontal or vertical, position on screen via slider, preview width in pixels. So the zone preview sits exactly where you need it.

Saved positions

Window Memory

Lists remembered positions per monitor: window sessions and app defaults. Monitors marked “connected” are currently attached. Entries show title, type, and percentage rectangle. Delete all positions clears storage permanently.
